Valued colleagues,
I have a client who expressed interest in a flash picture that would go from a "before" picture to an "after" picture (auto body shop) which would transition or reveal the "after" picture with a laser looking beam of light that moves across the "before" picture.

Can anyone direct me to a code source. I'm still pretty much of a novice at AS and Flash.

Thanks,
captsig

There are any number of ways to accomplish that... but one way is to reveal using a "mask". So depending on which version of Flash you have, exact details will vary.
Basically you have several layers. The "after" picture on the bottom, the "before" over the top of that, covering it up. Then as the mask moves over the top of the "before" photo, it sort of punches a hole in that layer, revealing what's underneath. It's called a mask but it really works like a mask opposite..that is, you can see right thru the mask, but not anything that is not masked.... go figure...
