I occasionally (not often) get requests to build websites with shopping carts. My customers tend to be small businesses who are just getting started and on a fairly tight budget ($2500 and under). I've tried several cart systems through the years (oscommerce, zen-cart, volusion, magento) and I'm wondering what others use.
More specifically, I'm not really looking for the best shopping cart; I know that question has been asked a million times with a million different answers. I'm more interested in what is the best for a reseller who caters to small businesses - how easy is it to set up? How happy are your customers with the finished product? How profitable (for you) is it?
I know there are a number of "reviews" out there but many of these seem to have a conflict of interest. Also, I'm open to both hosted and self-hosted solutions.
