I got a p4 2.6 ghz w/ 512k cache, 800mhz fsb and hyperthreading. I got it a month ago as an early gift. Mary christmas you guys.

Well it is pretty sexy :P But its because I was giving my old processor to my brother for his comp that I built him (just to be cost affective since I wanted a new processor anyway) this old one, a p4 1.7ghz 256, 433, still sells for 100 bucks so mine was only + 65 to that since we got it on sale.

i just got money so im going to mod my computer like mad the proccesssor hasnt been updated in about 3 years lol, only a 450mhz seen this nice motherboard bundle comes with 1gb 333mhz ddr ram and amd 3.5ghz,
cant wait for new year role on P.A.R.T.Y.:D

I've got broadband (over USB modem), but I'm getting the router so I can share the connection over the home LAN. I'm also going to buy a new PC next year, something which is actually capable of playing games without falling over.

I have overclocked my processor to 3.3 ghz. I can probably do more, but why push it. I have a copper heat sink fan on this. I have something claled core center on this motherboard that allows me to setup my hsf like a thermastat with the processor temp. 40 celcius is ok, its about 104 fahrenheit. I generally site at about that temp too, except when I have my fan turned down, noise and all, I get up to maybe 60 at my max.
PS: building a comp is not that hard, I built mine, and my brother's. I also have a front temp display and a vantec nexus 3.5'' fan controler.

i think he has the fan controller too, not sure if its a nexus or what not. but he never turns down his fans. they are silent so he has no reason to risk his processor. (60 degrees isnt much, but its still more damaging than 40C) also he has a heat sink on his but i dont know if its a copper heat sink or not. the only reason he clocks his is because he is constantly macro'ing 2 online ultima accounts and almost always downloading some movie or another and burning dvds all the time and its still excessively fast but i guess he hates waiting. mostly i think he just went all out so he doesnt have to buy another computer(in the next 3 years with how fast it is).

why is everyone on about overclocking proccessors?, most a p4 has been overclocked to is 4.5ghz, well my dad has a p4 4.75ghz, so that beaten that without even overclocking it

holy crap. Well most of us cannot afford to make our own little absolute 0 chambers for our processors though :p. If they can find an efficient way to cool the northwood architecture, the sky is the limit. But still I am running 512k l2 cache, imagine 2 meg l3, it would sure as heck seem like 4.75 meg :p. Cache is infinatly faster then ram because it is right on the processor and all.

Some of us don't think that someone else making a fool out of himself is funny. While I might have laughed had I been there, my thoughts would have been on how much of a fool he is making himself look like. When going to listen to a CEO of a large corporation, I would expect a serious speach, not "dance, monkey boy." I think I would have left quite disappointed.

he is a puppet leader. :p. It is a constitutional monarchy if you will (well a tyranny with a figure head). Look at their board of directors, they are pulling the strings. They figured out he was the balding middle aged man that looks jolly and is willing to do the comic releaf so they gave him the title. If a sweaty middle aged man is not magic... I do not know what is.

this is sort of an ideal thread for it though. No problems were getting solved to begin with here. Its not like someone has unanswered questions from the beginning (unless you are questioning my sanity)
