Hi all I am going to be updating and redesigning our website and I wanted to add Video to it, is there an easy way of doing that without allot of coding and do I need to pay to have it published or can i download it to the server we are using now??
I was looking at this site and I would have to publish the videos on here for a monthly fee

Whether or not too use your own server will depend on your hosting agreement. Many hosting services provide unlimited storage (for the file) and unlimited bandwidth (for viewers downloading)....but not all... so you might end up paying a premium if you exceed your allotment... check with your hosting service.
To display videos on your own web site, you'll need a media player like
http://www.longtailvideo.com/players/jw-flv-player/
or
http://flowplayer.org/
both those players will provide the files and the code to place the player on your web page and both provide free versions.
Best wishes,

If you do not want share your video freely or allow others to distribute it without your authorization, it would be better to host the video on your own server. Check out this video player software (http://video.a4desk.com) which comes with different skins and can convert your video files into FLV format for faster loading on your own web page.

Hey tedscoffee,
I was a little curious about yout post until I reviewed the information on the link you provided.
You seem to think that "Streaming Video" is any video played over the Internet!
What a bunch of BULL!!
If you want to "pose" as an "Authority" on Web web video, then at least get your facts straight!
Simply posting videos on the Web is much different than actual "Streaming" video... contrary to what your spammy ads say.

3. Flash FLV does video streaming automatically -- there is no need for any special processing of the file.
WHAT A BUNCH OF BULL!!
Streaming video requires a very specialized type of server or server software, whether you are doing true streaming or pseudo (HTTP Pseudo-Streaming) streaming.
Keep you spam out of this Forum ... PLEASE!!
