laptop recommendations?

any recommendations for minimum specs for a web developer in need of a new laptop?

Depends what type of programs you are planning to load on it, mostly. I recently (http://www.ryanbrill.com/archives/00004.php)picked up a Dell Inspiron 1100, and it seems to be running fine. Having said that, I've not put much stress on it, as I prefer my desktop. I did, however, load in Studio MX 2k4, which runs fine.

Macromedia Studio MX
PFE
Adobe framemaker,photoshop, illustrator, golive, premier, after effects
Jasc Paint Shop Pro
SPSS
Endnote
etc. etc.

dude get a mac OS X. not sure exact name cause i didnt buy it but its the best.
