Sux0rZh@jc0rz 01-03-2004, 10:39 PM take the laso and cut it out as close as u can. dont get to close to the picture tho. leave some of thebackground in. then go with ur eraser and zoom in and have fun clearin out the background. seems a boring way to do things but it doesnt take that long. pyro 01-03-2004, 10:42 PM I'd be willing to bet Photoshop has a background eraser. PSP 8 does, and it works very well. Paul Jr 01-03-2004, 11:01 PM Originally posted by pyro I'd be willing to bet Photoshop has a background eraser. PSP 8 does, and it works very well. Yup, Photoshop has a background eraser. I find it's a bit easier if you zoom in REALLY close, and then work slowly. You can stop every now and then, you don't have to go all the way around in the first shot. TomDenver 01-03-2004, 11:09 PM If the background you want to remove is a solid color, you may want to try the Magic Wand (W) tool to select the background. Then delete it. Sometimes the background color is very similar to parts of the image that you don't want to delete. In this case, decrease the Tolerance on the magic wand (maybe all the way to 0). However, this is not always a possible solution, depends on the background. modifier_guy 01-03-2004, 11:28 PM what is psp and is it free and were do i get it? Paul Jr 01-04-2004, 01:03 AM What graphics program are you using now? If you are using Photoshop, it is more than sufficient for what you need to do; now, or in the future. iniquity101 01-04-2004, 04:47 AM psp is paint shop pro you can get a 30day free trial here (http://www.jasc.com/download_4.asp?prod=K-PSP8-USDIR) but Photoshop is the better program. If you do get psp it has a smart edge tool that will cut edges for you. modifier_guy 01-04-2004, 12:57 PM ok i am using photshop 6.0, it seems to work good but it is an older version and i thought maybe PSP would be better modifier_guy 01-04-2004, 01:48 PM also, i am having trouble when i use the lasso tool, and do things with that then i stop and say use the crop tool then go back to the lasso tool, and lasso somethign, it will say that cant do it cus the area u selcted is empty? or something on those lines, but i cnat figure otu y? Sounds like when you're using the Lasso Tool, you have an empty layer selected. modifier_guy 01-04-2004, 09:03 PM i got a pic, then i will lasso somehting, and then move it, then i will go to use the lasso aain to move something else and it says the layer is empty webdeveloper.com
