Why are used servers so cheap?

This server is 3.2GHz@2 cores/4GB RAM for less than $100. Are all servers this cheap, or just the ones on eBay? I've seen many other servers at similar prices.

Why are they so cheap? Should I buy one?

That's a fair price.

Remember, its two xeon processors. They arent duals or quads.

Also they are ex lease, so some may have been really hammered over the years.




If you need a rack mount server, you could buy it, it depends on your needs though.

ya not all used servers are that cheap. If it is workable, you must not wait to purchase it :)
