Webapplication hangs if accessed by citrix IE

Dear,

We've added to an already existing application a simple http component, so that users can control the application through a webgui on a client.
This al works quiet well, untill you access it through a citrix internet explorer. It's not the IE browser that hangs, but the application on the server.

I have little knowledge of citrix and was hoping someone could give me hint on what the cause might be of this issue.
I was also wondering what the difference is between connecting through a local IE or a citrix IE?
