"Live View" question

Hi all! I purchased and watched "dreamweaver cs5 essentials" program and I learned all the fundamental components of dreamweaver cs5 but I have one problem and question! The "essentials" described using the "live view" within .html context but my webpages are .php and when I try to access "live view" it says since it is .php I need to set up a "testing server". Am I not able to do "live view"??

I am sorry to sound so naive and ignorant but what exactly is a testing server and how do I make all of Dreamweaver CS5 capabilities such as the "live view" and "CSS Inspect" etc work with my php files within the Dreamweaver CS5 component?? Thanks again in advance for your help!

To test server side pages like PHP, you will need a server.... imagine that!
One commonly used is WAMP:
http://www.wampserver.com/en/
So you install this web server on your own machine and then you can test your pages without having to upload to your web host server for testing.
