Hidden spam on your site

I don't know if you've already been told this but people seem to be attaching hidden spam to some of these posts. Forum Admins if you give me an email address I can send you the email that proves it. I posted to a thread and there were no other messages yet, and later I got an email that said someone replied. When they didn't, they did however do a reply that showed up in my email only. I can show you what I mean and the email that sent from this forum if you want to see it.

You can change your preferences in you visible emails, etc to others and notifications of thread updates in your control panel.

Unfortunately, spam does happen and I see certain threads that are clearly spam as well. In the interests of tackling it, I suggest you click on the warning triangle to the right of the post count number to report the post.

Someone did reply to your thread, and it was spam, so I deleted it. That is why it appears to be "ghost spam".

I can't do anything about the email that goes out whenever a reply is made, but I can sure get rid of the post on the forum itself.

Ok the triangle thingy will remember that for the future and will leave a note in a reply post what the spam was. I know the whole forums spams attacks are terrible, same thing happening on a forum I help with. Do you know of any forums software created now that stop almost all automated spam attacks? I don't mean spam that someone does in person, I know that can't be stopped. I mean all the automatic spam bots, and programs people write to do spam for forums. Anyway best wishes to you fighting all the terrible spam people do now. I don't know what's the deal and why so many terrible people get their kicks by wanting to sabotage others good websites, they're sure are lot of messed up people that so many even want to do that. I can't understand in any way how so many are messed up and how they enjoy messing up others on pupose.
