This domain name, when typed into my IE8 browser location window goes exactly where it should:

http://firefall.info/

However, when I add the normal "www" to it, which I assume should work fine, does not work.

http://www.firefall.info

That one produces a Verizon web page that says, "Sorry, the website www.firefall.info cannot be found."

I am on the Verizon FIOS network.

The url location of the returned page looks like this:

http://www.results-page.net/main?InterceptSource=0&ClientLocation=us&ParticipantID=euekiz39ksg8nwp7iqj2fp5wzfwi5q76&FailureMode=1&SearchQuery=&FailedURI=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.firefall.info&AddInType=2&Version=2.1.8-1.78base&Referer=&Implementation=0&PlatformInfo=pbrgen

(Same results in Google Chrome browser)

Can anyone else reproduce this issue?

Thanks,
GoldenEagles

Actually all urls have two versions. One with www and another without www.

Practically servers can provide different response for these two different version

of url. But most of the time, the servers are configured so that to response the

same for this two url incarnation. For example, most of the .gov domains only work

with one of the version and another version is kept useless.
