Wireless Network Problems

i formatted my harddrive to fix that virus thing on my computer and i forgot to right down the wep encription key for my wireless network and after reinstalling windows xp home version i started installing the linksys stuff and i cant go further until i find out where i find the encription key on my other compuetr ( both comnputers are the same)

i cant find it int he manual or any were were would i look?

Log onto your router and see if you can play with the encrytion in there. I use d-link myself so I might not be able to tell you about the lInksys setup.

ok it aint really a problem that i have more a problem a friend has but i will tell him

ok. The only problem I ever have on our lan is on the other comp when you turn on the microwave the internet speed drops a bit or dies, we could fix that by moving the router...whatever. (mine is plugged into the router so I do not have it on this one)

yea he said he dint write down the encrpition code and he needs that to fix the internet hub hes got
