"marginal notation " in text

i"m building an= web to keep large amount of articles. this articles contain a lot of marginal notation. i don't have any idea on how to keep them.

do some body went throw it? do you any idea on how to make this marginal notation in the right place?

You could setup w3c annotations (http://www.w3.org/1999/02/26-modules/User/Annotations-HOWTO), or use a simple hide/show on mouseover the relevant text/word.
If you can add the notations the solution is simple, but if the client needs to add them dynamically then it gets complex very quickly.
