Can someone explain the following process:
When I join a new social network or blog (just for example) and get my own home page and profile page, how are those newly created pages (just for me and my info) made? What is that process exactly and how does it work?

craigslist does this in a way and i have to build a site similar to it.

Sorry, not joining craiglist to see what they have on a profile page. Detail the features out and that will give us a good starting point to see how to implement it.
