How do i build a customised user reccomendation system fro my website using javascrript?

What exactly is it you want to do?

I want to bascially have a recommendation system within my website. For example customer A buys product x and customer B buys products x and y. When customer A logs in next my site should reccomend he buy product y, done using an information filtering process. However it is hard to implement.
