Anybody got a clue on how to make tables and their cells height to be 100% of the window size? If I type in height="100%" it just results in a relatively large gap at the bottom and a very weird vertical alignment.

have you set the vertical alignment?

Aah... dang. I had it set to "absolute"... I changed it to "top" and now it works fine. Thx Dave.
