Dreamweaver template update

Is it possible to make dreamweaver change the whole php template page, I mean if I want to update a page that is related to the .dwt.php I am not able to update the php code that is above the html code in the page. That always stays unchanged.

I am learning HTML using Dreamweiver 8.0 editor. I am also think that, it is not possible anyway in Dreamweiver directly change from .html code to .php code. Thanks.
