Hello, I am working on a project that is using a template in Dreamweaver. Originally the client met and we came up with a design and layout. Know that the layout is complete now they want to make changes to some of the pages that will affect the master template. Basically the original design was very simple it included a header image, a spry drop down horizontal menu, the Content "editable region", then the footer. Nice and simple!!
Now they have decided that on some pages they would like to add vertical menus on the left side of the page. Since this change will not be on every page, can I add it to the master template as an option region, or is it possible to make major template changes and save it as a nested template and only apply it to the pages that need the vertical menu? After today's meeting my mind is fried, and I am not thinking clearly. Any ideas to help in trying to come up with a solution that will be easy for them to edit in the future and not to edit the menu on each individual page, will be greatly appreciated.
