ditch the marquee, it makes me dizzy. I would post links to the validation to either but I cant figure out the encodeing, you have some weird char in 107 that will not let it validate. You need to specify doc types and encodeings for your sites. PS I read you are trying to put an image in the marquee, dont, it looks really tacky when you do. It is simple to do but just dont.

Well, not exactly sure about the green background -- made a different shade/hue of green. Ditto about the marquee -- yuck. Also, I like the second layout as opposed to the first one. And I would move several thing you have seemingly randomly strewn about the site, down to a footer.

I'll just back up what they said and point out I have some links on tools to find colors that blend well togeher in my sig.

both look like they were beaten with a hammer when viewed on IE 5.2/MACOSX

again - lose the green!

white text- LOVE IT! need more sites with dark backgrounds with white text to reduce damage done to eyes by staring at this light bulb we call a monitor.

margee - again, lose it!

borders - get some.

random images - again, lose um!

your entire site being built into js - lose it.

mayby try a flanking menu's type of style with some margins.

to be honest i dont really like either layout but its your site. and i am not a fan of the JavaScript, try and work around this and marquee.. tut tut,

The second one is better... but (at the risk of tortology) lose the green..... lose the banner......
the other small thing is it looks a little to much like xanga (in layout)
