WAnna learn Flash

Hey guys i wanna learn flash but don't know how to start with casue whenever i open it, it looks very complicated.:-(
Anyone of you who knows about a book or a place where i can learn to make simple flash cartoons?
I am using flash MX 2004 version. (full not demo)

Not sure about MX 2004, but in flash MX under the help menu, there are both Tutorials and Lessons that can teach you simple things about the program
