SMS to mobile phone

I am looking for a script to send text messages from my website to a mobile phone, using SMS (Short Message Service). Preferably in ASP, but any other language is welcome too.

or some sort of partnership with a tel co? that's what I thought lycos did...
i pressume there isn't an sms() function........

In general I don't think the telcos will allow you to do that because they make their money from the SENDER of a message.
