I currently have problems with my hosting company and think of going elsewere. I need to host 75-100 + domains and, respectively, need a comprehensive package.
Since I am more of an enthusiast then a professional, I am affraid to make an uneducated decision.
If anyone can recommend a good company you have hands-on experience with, or if you have experience with Interland Freedom (http://support.interland.com/freedom/guide/index.html) in particular, please, comment!!!

lunarpages (http://secure.lunarpages.com/tracking/cgi-bin/clickthru.cgi?id=webapp2) seems to be pretty good, they have very good tech suport 24/7..I am not completely confident that it will work for or not, however its worth a shot to explore them and find out if they can give you a nice package

I'm a little weary of 24/7, since that's what we have now, and, yes, guys are able to help out with minor staff, but if there is anything major happens they are affraid to move without some major decision-maker who likes to sleep until 9AM. So they are more of the phone answering service in the middle of the night... But you are right, it wouldn't hurt to look around.

I use oneandone's business package - they're excellent, but I can't vouch for their telephone support because I've never used it.

The only thing you don't get is root level access to the server, but aside from that it's an excellent package for an 'enthusiast'.
Are you looking for anything particular in the way of php, asp, mysql etc?

Yes, I need everything shy of a dedicated server.

dr2.net looks promising.
any downfalls?
Not really. When I first signed up with them around a year ago, they had a bit of a reliability problem, but that seems to have been fixed, and there's not too much downtime any more. Over all, I've been very satisfied, and Matt's a good guy.

It seems that the only way to contact them now is via their forum or email. Do they have a phone #? Obviously, they do. I mean, once you signed up, you can get a hold of them in a jiffy. Right?
Do they do branding?
Support is the one place where they are, perhaps, behind the pack. While they do take care of issues quickly, I don't believe there is a phone number where they can be contacted directly. There is an emergency # (http://www.dr2.net/vB/showthread.php?threadid=3596) where you can report a downed server, or you can contact them via any of these: http://www.dr2.net/?src=support

Well, I think oneandone is a bit too far from me, and dr2 seems good, but I need to make sure I can have someone competent to speak to 24/7. Maybe it's mental, I don't know... Maybe I'll go back to AIT. I guess nobody had hands-on with Interland?
