I have a website with a search page. The search returns links to Word documents. When I click a Word document, the document opens (in I.E., it opens in the browser itself).
Can the Word document be opened and the search text highlighted within the Word document? Can this be done without disabling security features of Office?
The search is handled through Microsoft Index Server. Is there some solution from Microsoft that allows Index Server and Word to communicate in some way so that the search text is highlighted?
Any information, sample code, or links, would be greatly appreciated.
PS. Users will be internal or internal users accessing the documents from home. Either way, the requirement is for Word to be available on the client machine.
