What Is Asp?

Let me rephrase, what does it do? I have an asp_client folder in MS Frontpage and I have noticed that many websites have a "/default.asp" as their home page......why? Can someone give me a quick ASP 101 course, free??? ha ha

ASP = Active Server Page. This's a scripting technique for web server. this let you to make a program or application for web. It may use any scripting language to be done such as VB Script, JScript or Perl.
