It looks more like a shameless plug to me, and I've seen MUCH more interesting uses of Flash.

Jean I have seen much more complient layouts. Maybe they should take a peek at their glorious site on a mozilla/ns browser. It is all out of alignment and looks cruddy.

http://www.delorie.com/web/lynxview.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fcimg.info%2F I find lynx viewer inaccurate at times, let me get on the real lynx and take a ss ;). See all those things that say inline? Dang that just screams inaccessable!

Since the designer is not professional, and has had no formal training in the discipline...u guys need to be a bit more positive. I think its a quaint expression of art, and considering the content, its very ahead of the market its in.

Cheers

The link that you posted is in your profile. A link in a profile to me says that the poster had at least some hand in developing the site. If you want to promote a site that you like, you can just place a link to it in your signature.

You have stated that it was "great use of flash and java together" and "great work" overall. Great work for a newbie maybe, but not great work. Plus, using Java and Flash together to make a highly inaccessible site isn't a great use of them together.

Were we harsh? Maybe, but posting a site here and promoting it like you did gave us the impression that it was of a certain quality and when we see that it isn't, we are going to jump on it. Trust me, post a link to a site here and you wil get positive and negative feedback when deserved regardless if you want it, or not. If you actually had a hand in developing the site and want to find out how to make your site better, then let us know because we will offer ways to make it better.

Jean Criticizing sites is one of the things we do best here. Accessability and w3c standards are some of things we preach most about here. So if the site is not accessable and not valid, expect some comments like this.
