Image click changes pulldown menu

Does anyone know of a script so that if a user were to click on a particular image map, a certain value in a pulldown menu would automatically be chosen? I want to have a state map that when a user clicks on a certain county, the county field in the form (pulldown menu list) is assigned that value.
