hay, im havin trouble gettin muh text to fade on my flash movies. ive wipped up sumthin quick and attatched the swf, the fla, and the html files in a zip file(at bottom of post). as u can c, the boxes fade, but the text doesnt. the text still moves, however. the text fades when u are working with the fla file and move the playhead along the movie clip, but when it is published, it doesnt fade when u view the swf. ne help?

you must "break apart" the text inside the grafic (don't use the wrong one like me);)

but how do u set the alpha value when its borken apart?

i believe text has to be converted to a graphic symbol before it can have alpha applied to it, but i don't flash installed to look @ your source from here.

yes by converting text to a graphic symbol you can change the alpha value.

yes, but when i do that, it wont change the alpha value when i publish th swf:(. it works when i move the playhead while editing, but the alpha value seems to stay at 100% the whole time when i publish it or go to 'Test Movie':confused:

Hallo,

1. create your text

2. convert text to grafic

3. break apart the text inside the grafic-symbol (2x)

4. change the alpha value of the grafic!
