I am about to host my own web server. I got a static IP and am running linux 8.0. I know I need to configure Apache and map my domain name to the static IP.
My question is what directory do I put all my html files in. In the past or on SUN UNIX I put them in a dircetory called wwwdocs and it automatically loaded an html file called welcome.html assuming all the permissions are right. Do you still put everyhting in the cgi-bin directory for scrpits as well? Thanks.
