message box alert script "help please"

I cannot get the java script to work, it is supposed to be cut and paste, and simple but I have tried and tried, I dont know if I need extra programs or fils or what, can somebody take a look and create a quick html page on note pad and simple cut and paste, and see if it works, I mean it is cooooool, but I cannot get it to work, I am missing something minor I beleive..

1) maybe I should ask this, what exactly is it supposed to do? I thought when a page opens, the little message box opens says a little something and then goes away, but only the message box should appear, not the text saying test, or little text boxes, or anything else, just the box should appear right?

2) please what did you do, create a simply

I know that the " " & ( ) are not used, just wanted to put it here so it would post correctly.

the "cut and paste" code contains some relative references to .js files that are required for the whole thing to work.

js/qlib/control.js

etc.

1) Now did I miss something when I was on the cut and copy page? the page said ONLY and SIMPLY "cut and paste?" I spent some hours trying to get this to work.

2) when you say save/put the files in them in the same path as the code, can you please explain that a little bit more, I think I understand, but want to make sure. Do you mean put the js files in the same folder as the html(that has the cut/paste script?)

3) three and final, I use geocities at times, and I am not sure if they upload anything but .html .jpg .mid .wav do they upload the files that you say I need here?

Everyone always ask that the question be specific, I hope I was here and that I am able to retreive a working message/alert box that I can use in my html :)
