Download Progress Bar for Streaming Video

I would like to have a download progress bar displayed underneath my movie player so that people waiting for the download know that somthing is acutally happening. As of now, it shows a black screen untill a certain amount of the video is downloaded and starts to play. Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm.. I think this would be quite possible if you could perform a few mathematical equations.

Some variables which would need to be aquired world be; connection speed, file size of movie and time spend downloading.
