Script to have form check a value

I am looking for a way to have a form check a script in a table. If the information is in the table I want the data to still be entered into the database but I don't want it to send an e-mail to that e-mail address.

Im having a bit of trouble understanding exactly what you want to do..
Are you trying to acheive this with asp or a client-side langauge such as javaScript?
