I am currently working on a html document using frames in dreamweaver. My goal is the following; I have linked a bunch of PDF documents to the main page which eventually will be put on a cd-rom with all of the pdf's. My goal is to keep the user in one single page so that when a hyperlink is clicked the pdf document opens in the main (center) window. Thereby giving the user the availity to just click on the table of contents located on the top frame who will then be re-routed back to the center frame where the table of contents lies. I have also created a catalog of all of the pdf's files to make them searchable. However, this is where my question lies, how can I put a button on the top frame that will invoke the search feature on the tools menu of the adobe document located on the main frame? Is this even possible since Adove is an independent program just funtioning from the center window.. One last thing all of the pdf's and the html's are all in one folder including the adobe catalog created from all of the pdf's.
Thank you. I would apreciate any suggestions or input from anyone.
