JavaScript Popup Box in IE

I wanted to set up an extremely simple "password" dialog box for a website. I used the javascript from the following website: http://javascript.internet.com/passwords/gatekeeper.html

It works fine in NetScape but doesn't work at all in Internet Explorer. Any suggestions?
