Is it general procedure to charge extra for creating a site with a PayPal shopping cart?
When using the shopping functionality, you end up with your page full of your goods and their costs, a shopping cart page, and extra page that acknowledges your payment, and a page that denies your payment if card details dont work etc. So this is like 4 pages.
I am in the habit of charging websites per page so would you recommend that I charge the client for 4 pages or charge for the "shopping" feature.
I realise that rates vary a lot in web design, but would you say that its fair to charge a "Shopping" feature as being double the price of your standard static page price.
ie. if my static page costs £65, would it be fair to charge £140 for shopping functionality?
I'm not looking for specific prices but rather for indications of how "shopping" functionality is valued in comparison to the rest of the site.
thanks in advance, I'd be interested to hear how other people charge for this.
