Need a user login script....anyone help?

I'm looking for a user login script using MySQL and PHP if possible to allow a user to choose a user name and password which will then be saved in a database to allow him/her to log in to reach a members only section of a website

(much like this forum possibly)

Anyone seen any good ones around that are free?

There are a great many scripts that will do what you want. You just have to look around a little bit! One of the best places I know of is HotScripts (http://www.hotscripts.com/). You can also try doing a search at Google (http://www.google.com/). Hope that helps! :D

Thanks for your replies guys!

I have looked around quite a bit and have come across some solutions for example http://phpuserlogin.oxyscripts.com/ which i couldnt make head nor tail of since the manual was so hard to understand.

I didn't just decide to come here and ask straight out without looking for myself first ;)

I was basically after a pre-made one that someone could say "yeah ive used that and recommend it" type of thing.
