Hey, im hoping someone can inform me on the tools and software i will need in order to develop, debug and complie Visual Basic .NET applications.
I do not want to buy a copy of Visual Studio.
So far, i have installed the .NET framework, not much else...

If I were you I would buy Visual Studio (even though you said you didn't want to)...Just because it has VB and C++ with it I believe...Otherwise I found a program called SharpDevelop that says it'll work if you have .NET framework installed....I have not used it but I believe it is what you are looking for....here is a link to this free program...http://www.icsharpcode.net/OpenSource/SD/Features.aspx

Yer, its looks good. I havent downloaded a copy yet.
Though, it seems to be what i am looking for. Thanks alot for the link, mate. :)
The reason i dont want to purchase Visual Studio is because i am only using VB.NET in my current programming module. I will not need the software once i have completed the mod.

I use dreamweaver myself, but it willn ot allow you to make a compliled dll. This is for asp.net btw, not a executale program.
