On w3.org (http://www.w3.org/TR/2002/WD-css3-fonts-20020802/#font-decoration) I read about font-smooth property for font decoration. But does it really work? I tried to apply it to individual classes and to whole body but it does not seem to make any difference. Does font-smooth property work or is it proposed? If not, how can I make my font look smooth?

thanks,

that is actually CSS3, so it isn't supported by all browsers (I believe firefox supports it though...

not to my knowledge, other than picking smooth looking fonts.

Right now it's entirely controlled by the client's machine via the operating system settings. Windows 2K and newer have this option. Mac OSX does too. The Omniweb browser for Mac OS 9 and X has font smoothing built into the browser.
