Norton Firewall 2002

Suddenly my web browsing has slowed to a crawl with Firewall activated. Deactivate it and it works fine. The standard HTTP ports are not blocked, e.g. 80, I'm not using a proxy server, no other computers are connected. I loaded a fresh copy of XP just a week ago with no troubles since. Any ideas?

yes had this same problem. I use Nortons Internet security, after doing a fresh install of XP then Nortons i allways find it to be very sluggish, it's so annoying. Some how after a number of reboots it seems to sort its self out. If your still having problems with it, try reinstall Nortons, make sure you have all the updates, if still performing the same your only other option is to try another Firewall.
