didn't read it to its entirity, but I find the article actually on a topic not previously discussed fully, and find it interesting to here the challenges the web brings to people with disabilities.

And a little lesson in respect from a freidn I know, disabled people is disrespectful, the correct, and respect, way to say it is person with disabilities :)

read it all the way, it goes into detail about the study and has some good points to it like it is not much harder to make a site accessable, the reasonsites are inaccessable are because of lazy designers and ignorant clients etc. Very very good and well written article.

I have said this before that I can not buy time from trees, I get really busy with working and traveling and stuff like that. I might take a business trip to England soon, so that would mean a time off here. When I get the chance, this will be the primary thing to do, though :)

Well I do lots of work in application design, and I am a member of another forum where I am in constant conversation with the head admin, a great friend of mine. Once I get everthing done there, I have email to work on for a client who I am helping with CSS (and yes, valid, Mozilla and IE, of course), then I can come here and read your article.

I find it so difficult to find time other than weekends to be here, but I do my best :)

I don't believe Bill Thompson has ever built a single website - accessible or not - in his life. That guy really is a mong, he has been proved wrong so many times it's a miracle he still has a job.

That said, if this particular article make even one more web developer think about accessiblity then I guess that's a good thing

I think I've mentioned this before, but none of the blind people I know ever use the internet. Still, that's ridiculous.. making a site that's at least somewhat accesibile isn';t that hard.. those numbers shouldn't exist- that this is even a problem shows laziness IMNSHO

BBC, thats the awesome thing, this article has been visiting a whole lot of people. BBC is not as big here as CNN or fox news, but I am sure overthere in "The land of sheep and computer nerds" to quote davesw it gets a lot of traffic. I am sure I could find some articles that blow it away on www.alistapart.com :p. Its just kind of awesome that internet accessability is making the news -- in a major news outlet.

That's because Dave lives in Wales where there is a high percentage of hills and sheep I wouldn't mention sheep though that could offend some Welsh people.
