I was browsing one of my favorite sites, AlbinoBlackSheep.com (http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/) ( it's valid XHTML, too!!:eek: ), and I came across this: http://albinoblacksheep.com/flash/stairway.php.
It is a clip from Led Zeplin's Stairway to Heaven. Listen to it played forward, and then backwards. Spooky, huh?
If you don't believe it, record it with Sound Recorder and reverse it.

Yer, Zeppelin have a few songs which have demonic messages when played backwards.. Most people have heard the Beatles messages too.

but I do not believe that one, it does not sound like those words, all I here is satan and 666. But anyways the rest of the words really make no sence. If there is a demonic message then it is purly coincidental I say. Speaking of stairway to heaven, I know van halen remade it, but did def leppard too? It seems like def an halen thought it sounded cool sung it and used it as filler on their albums too, not sure though. But I definatly have a copy that is van halen... vanhagar is singing I believe, sounds like him and no eddie.

a very good site, albinoblacksheep. one might also note that the song "another one bites the dust" by queen has a hidden message as well. when the chourus is played backwards, it sounds of "it's fun to smoke marijuana."

It's just simple suggestion. Your listening out for what you see written down so you pick up on bits that sound vaugley like what's written down and fill in some gaps yourself.

its definately people struggling to make words out of it as is evident if you listen once then hit the lyrics to see what is supposed to be said...wow then all of a sudden you sort of hear a word or two

Interestingly, I had a music teacher who did this. First he played Stairway forwards. Then he played it backwards and had us write down what we heard. Then he gave us these words and had us listen to it again.
The first time backwards I heard none of these "words" except 666. No one else in the class did either. But after we got the words most of us thought they fit perfectly.
