At first all that stuff didn't make sense to me--the Perl concept all together. But I kinda did a little reading on it.. and I never realized that Perl was so easy! I mean, Perl and Visual Basic are extremely easy!! Since I know JavaScript (mostly) I understand all of that Perl stuff, it's just a matter of learning a new syntax!
