I'd like to know if there is a 'top 10 best websites of all time' compiled anywhere?
I'm not talking about the most popular websites...
But rather websites that are appreciated and well known for good design.
Any feedback and links would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Jam
How could there be? Design is subjective, and everyone's list would be different. The "quality" of the list would depend entirely on who put it together, and what they liked.

I take your point.
But surely... that wouldn't stop people from compiling such lists!? :)
I was just wondering... anyway. :)

Well... depends on if you mean content, or design. Content wise, I'd say Miniclip, Strongbad, Sluggy Freelance, A list apart, Yahoo!, Penny Arcade, Megatokyo, Keenspot, and a few other sites (Yes, I'm a webcomic fan.)
However if you mean design, CSS Zen Garden, Ryan's personal site (I'm a kissup too, but I don't care much for the colors of Infinity Web Design, No offense. Paul Jr,'s old T35 site, the red and black one looked great, and also MezzoBlue, to name a few,
naturally, I concur with everyone on Ryan's (http://www.ryanbrill.com). In addition, Zeldman's redesign (http://www.zeldman.com) is hot!

I disagree, with Zeldman's site, I personally hate the new look, but that's just me.
zeldman site looks pritty nice, i rem lookin at that site about 5 years ago, it had a orange backround, and a plain black title. and a lil, logo at the bottom saying Y2K Proof... from then the site has changed allot, and looks quite nicer.

Zeldman's Redesign is very inaccessible because of poor contrast.

I find the contrast no problem, I can read it fine, and I do like the look... I just liked the old look better. It simply looked better.
