Hi all, I just signed on here.
I'm just a FrontPage 2003 user who knows little about hard coding.
I received an email from a gent who says I have coding errors on one of my sites, and wants to discuss it over the phone, which sounds to me like he wants to sell me something.
If there are any gurus of HTML out there I would greatly appreciate a code check of this site: www.coyotejakes.com
PS Turn down the volume on your speakers, the Coyote Howl was not my idea!
Thanks in advance.

They probably were trying to sell you something but it's quite easy to visit: http://validator.w3.org/

Before you go you may want to decide which of the following apply and place it at the top of your HTML code.
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

Note that IE dislikes the <?xml?> statement.

Forgive my ignorance, but how do I decide which to use? Any resources I can study? Or can you recommend one?
Take a look at http://www.alistapart.com/articles/doctype/
