Which Looks Better

I have created two archives for my site and cant decide which looks better

I like the alternating colours, but perhaps you could change the text color of the green to white or something other than green. Otherwise it starts to sort of blend in and be a bit hard to read.

Add more vertical spacing to the links on archivenew.php, and maybe don't make the background stretch across the whole thing, maybe just like 60% of it or something... Also maybe instead of the dark green use a more mild, softer green.

Gotta admit, I prefer the first one - but I think that's because on the second one you're using the same green for the alternating lines as you do for the rest of the page - it detracts from the total effect.

I'd suggest trying 2 alternating lighter shades of green, so it doesn't look like you're trying to highlight particular rows.

Well, right now I like the first, but if you added padding to the links in the second archives, gave them both alternating hues of light green... it'd look much better.
