here I am trying to help the guy, and well basically look at the last 2 posts, he insults me. That is the second time on the thread he insulted me. I called him on it the first time, told him he is an ass for it, but then he does it again. He wonders why not many people are there to help him?

This type of thing happens on most forums (including this one). People come to the site looking for a particular answer, when we tell them that they have made a mistake somewhere else, they feel slightly insulted because we have demonstrated that we know more about the subject then they do.

Also, people pride themselves on their knowledge -- so when the experts give them a reality check and say, "Hey, your doing this wrong.", they get annoyed.

Or something like that :confused:

Sounds stupid, but it happens. I get insulted in the ASP and Other forums sometimes.

I know I have seen it here, but this was just the most recent time I have encountered people being condecending to those trying to help them. It has actually happened maybe 2 times here to me, and a ton more to everyone else. The advantage of having a pm box is that you can cuss idiots out!
