Mr Initial Man 12-15-2005, 07:06 PM Trust me, I stink at drawing. LiLcRaZyFuZzY 12-15-2005, 07:31 PM congrats mel for post #2000 i tried putting my new avatar (http://www.gravatar.com/avatar.php?gravatar_id=8b20d6757b564865f5142b3c204173cc) but 80x80 is too big, and it looked like crap resized to 50x50..looks like i'm keeping this one.. Ben Rogers 12-15-2005, 08:20 PM MIM, how many times have you had to say that it isn't your drawing? You need a running count here. Maybe just times you've told Fuzzy it isn't yours? That's gotta be, what, like 38, by now? :p Mr Initial Man 12-15-2005, 08:32 PM No, you're exaggerating. It's only been 9 3/4 times. :D Mr Initial Man 01-03-2006, 10:35 AM By the way, did anyone get the reference there? David Harrison 01-03-2006, 12:18 PM Yes. Edit: Though it was a pretty random time to reference it. Mr Initial Man 01-03-2006, 06:00 PM Well, I was replying to Ben asking me how often I'd commented about the lynx not being my drawing, so it wasn't all THAT random. Mind you, I'm the webmaster of a comic strip called "Coach Random", so what did you expect? Ubik 01-05-2006, 11:19 AM Your mom should have used: http://www.griffinoutpost.com/bob.asp Mr Initial Man 01-05-2006, 11:38 AM Heh... Poor Mstr Bob is getting potshots at him from every direction. MstrBob 01-05-2006, 04:16 PM Are you making fun of a Supermod? :( LiLcRaZyFuZzY 01-05-2006, 06:52 PM looks so, ban him! David Harrison 01-05-2006, 09:41 PM Bob - What a crap name. (Well, at least it's not 'Robert'.) Robert - That is a wonderful name. I think you should use it. (Well, at least it's not 'Bob'.) Riiiiight. dera 01-06-2006, 12:05 AM i like mstrbobs avatar LiLcRaZyFuZzY 01-06-2006, 06:03 AM i like mstrbobs avatar who doesn't? Mr Initial Man 01-06-2006, 10:30 AM Someone who doesn't like goofy-looking birds? EDIT: New Avatar! One I made myself! Sunny G 01-06-2006, 11:39 AM Someone who doesn't like goofy-looking birds? EDIT: New Avatar! One I made myself! Who doesn't like goofy-looking birds?:p Behold! Zorro duck! Mr Initial Man 01-06-2006, 11:52 AM Who doesn't like goofy-looking birds?:p Behold! Zorro duck! HEHEHEHEHEHEHE! I love it! It's so cute! But wouldn't Zorro Duck have a sword? Sunny G 01-06-2006, 12:05 PM But wouldn't Zorro Duck have a sword? I was experimenting with lightsabers a bit, but the image I made looked crummy and looked worse when it was resized to 50x50. Maybe I should try again... Mr Initial Man 01-06-2006, 01:02 PM Well, what I did with my avatar was start out with a 50X50 image in Paint. Mr Initial Man 01-10-2006, 10:43 AM *Tries to give aging thread CPR.* C'mon, don't die on me! Question: Which of your avatars was your favorite? Me, it was the lynx that Alexis Raminowicz drew for me, that I had for ages. Thistle1963 01-10-2006, 05:43 PM i really like the one i have now. :p Mr Initial Man 01-10-2006, 05:48 PM What's it from? Ben Rogers 01-14-2006, 11:51 PM I can't think of the purpose of changing my avatar anymore...I haven't posted anything useful in months... Mr Initial Man 01-15-2006, 05:03 PM Yeah, you're too busy *****ing about Canadians to come here. :p Ben Rogers 01-15-2006, 05:08 PM Heh. No, I just have no ideas for webdev projects, and thus no interest in webdev. I might if I could listen to some damn music on my computer, but noo, soundcard has to make Trent Reznor mumble at me. And who wants angst queens mumbling at them? :D Gotta call that guy up tomorrow. If he comes through, maybe I'll come back and finally hit my 3k. As for my excuse for the last x months...um, cancer hurricanes. Mr Initial Man 01-16-2006, 10:29 AM If you want angst, here's some Green Day for you... o/` Do you have the time o/` o/` To listen to me whine o/` o/` Of everything and nothing all at once? o/` o/` I am one of those o/` o/` Melodramatic fools o/` o/` Neurotic to the bone no doubt about it o/` :D LiLcRaZyFuZzY 01-16-2006, 11:48 AM For ben: http://thevoicetv.no/images/Green-Day_web.jpg Ben Rogers 01-16-2006, 12:40 PM Green Day is not angst, Green Day is too mainstream to be angst. MstrBob 01-16-2006, 01:58 PM Green Day is not angst, Green Day is too mainstream to be angst. Ahh yes, the always prevalent attack of: X is popular, therefore X sucks  :p Ben Rogers 01-16-2006, 02:04 PM Heh, hell yeah. Not that you're one to be talking. And if a band does become popular enough to get played on the radio, only their mediocre trend-following songs get played (I've never heard Negative Creep or the techno remix of Star****ers on radio, have you?) Mr Initial Man 01-16-2006, 06:09 PM Angst: An excuse for whining incessantly; a supposed reason for moping, an alleged cause for hatred of the world. See Emo Ben Rogers 01-16-2006, 07:34 PM Angst, n.:an acute but unspecific feeling of anxiety; usually reserved for philosophical anxiety about the world or about personal freedom -- http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=angst I could make quite a lengthy argument about my own opinion of the validity of angst, and the truths of it, but I'd prefer not to make myself sound so, well, angsty. Mr Initial Man 01-16-2006, 08:49 PM Hey, you tweak my nose enough for being Canadian, now it's my turn to tweak yours. Ben Rogers 01-16-2006, 09:08 PM Tweak my nose for what? If you were tweaking it for being American, I could understand, but I'm not even angsty, or emo. I barely even HAVE bangs, and I can fit my hands into my pockets! :p Mr Initial Man 01-16-2006, 09:10 PM However, you do listen to crap musicians like Trent Reznor. Sounds like a screw's pretty loose in there. David Harrison 01-16-2006, 09:32 PM I'm giving semi-serious thought to banning MIM for trashing quite a lot of music that I like, maybe I should start a poll... Ben Rogers 01-16-2006, 09:32 PM MIM...you're doing a rather good job of "tweaking my nose," bastard... Mr Initial Man 01-16-2006, 09:39 PM What, Dave? Am I supposed to simply let Ben trash a country like that? No, I don't like 9 inch Nails. I like Mighty Mighty Bosstones. I'm quite a bit into the ska scene, myself. David Harrison 01-16-2006, 09:41 PM Am I supposed to simply let Ben trash a country like that?Sure, why not? I mean, it's only Canada. ;) Mr Initial Man 01-16-2006, 09:42 PM Merf. Merf, I say. David Harrison 01-16-2006, 09:51 PM "What the hell?" I wonder. Mr Initial Man 01-16-2006, 09:52 PM "Merf" is a word common in the fandom I'm in. It has a similar meaning to "hmph". Jick 01-16-2006, 11:40 PM *Looks at thread* *Lowers head in disappointment* *Reaches for "Close Thread" button* *Click* *Looks around to see if anyone noticed* I'm sure I'm not the only one to notice how off-topic this thread has gotten recently. Yes, I'm aware it has always been somewhat off-topic but lately it's gotten worse. I think the little guy is gonna burst if he tries consuming anymore off-topic posts. :( LiLcRaZyFuZzY 01-17-2006, 01:52 AM jick you simply can't do that! change your avatar and we'll talk about it AVATAR! Jick 01-17-2006, 01:59 AM Change my avatar?! Are you nuts?! I've had lil' Kenny since the beginning... Too much history there... *sniff* :p Mr Initial Man 01-17-2006, 02:10 AM And here, I've been changing avatars on a semi-regular basis. I think my fave is still the one Alexis drew me. Or, if anyone remembers, my "Insert Lynx" avatar. And, um... what do you mean, little? This thing has nearly 2050 posts! Some of which actually have to do with avatars! David Harrison 01-17-2006, 02:19 AM My avatar would pwn yours in a fight. LiLcRaZyFuZzY 01-17-2006, 05:04 AM tiger rocks..although the EMU would totally desintegrate it in a fight :p David Harrison 01-17-2006, 06:05 AM What would it do? Peck at the Tiger's teeth? LiLcRaZyFuZzY 01-17-2006, 06:31 AM the emu's fight techniques are long lost secrects..we don't know what the emu will do.. David Harrison 01-17-2006, 06:59 AM Well I'd suggest he goes looking for those secrets, 'cause this Tiger's about to pounce on him. Mr Initial Man 01-17-2006, 10:07 AM Awwww, the little tiger's coming out to play. Would a fuzzy wuzzy tigey like some milk? :D Ben Rogers 01-17-2006, 04:05 PM the emu's fight techniques are long lost secrects..we don't know what the emu will do..We don't know because noone's ever survived to tell of the emu's great fight.Awwww, the little tiger's coming out to play. Would a fuzzy wuzzy tigey like some milk? :DHush, you, tigers are badass. Only good thing about my school is that our mascot's a tiger, and our colours are orange+black. LiLcRaZyFuZzY 01-17-2006, 04:18 PM Only good thing about my school your kindergarten? :p Sunny G 01-17-2006, 04:27 PM Aaaaaaaand whose avatar has an axe? Ben Rogers 01-17-2006, 04:56 PM CLEVER, fuzz. Sorry, Sunny. I don't mean to be mean to you, but as long as you have that avvy, it's mandatory to at least consider mocking you. Cartoon ducks are teh llama, and Hobbes is the only good cartoon tiger. Actually (no offense MIM) but animated animals are largely lame all together. Mr Initial Man 01-18-2006, 03:51 AM Lame? Excuse me, Ben, I can walk perfectly well. David Harrison 01-18-2006, 05:03 AM Cartoon ducks are teh llamaLlama (http://images.google.co.uk/images?q=llama&hl=en&btnG=Search+Images)? (I'm somewhat concerned by this (http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://www.fritriac.de/looky/alien_llama_mutilation.jpg&imgrefurl=http://ars.userfriendly.org/users/read.cgi%3Fid%3D8652%26tid%3D87722&h=640&w=640&sz=69&tbnid=PtrKPsQJTqh9RM:&tbnh=135&tbnw=135&hl=en&start=6&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dllama%26svnum%3D10%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26sa%3DG) one.) LiLcRaZyFuZzY 01-18-2006, 06:18 AM hehehe Sunny G 01-18-2006, 11:27 AM To be honest I have considered changing my avatar in favor of a Project GeeKeR theme. Say hi to Mr. Moloch David Harrison 01-18-2006, 11:52 AM Is that guy a where-duck or something? Sunny G 01-18-2006, 12:07 PM Scroll down to read about Mr. Moloch http://www.sepwich.com/ssntails/gkr/bios.htm LiLcRaZyFuZzY 01-18-2006, 12:22 PM Is that guy a where-duck or something? hahaha! question: wouldn't it be were-duck? David Harrison 01-18-2006, 12:48 PM Well where-duck has the correct pronunciation I thought. Mr Initial Man 01-18-2006, 01:46 PM Wereduck. "Were" should rhyme with "deer" LiLcRaZyFuZzY 01-18-2006, 02:19 PM isnt it like wear-duck? Ben Rogers 01-18-2006, 02:19 PM No, I think Dave's right. BTW, I am officially teh llama. Just for irony, I'm allowed to use leet. LiLcRaZyFuZzY 01-18-2006, 02:45 PM http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Werewolf#Origins_and_variations_of_the_word An alternative etymology looks to Old English weri (to wear) plus "wolf", thus bearing wearer of the wolf skin. :D David Harrison 01-18-2006, 03:02 PM We were talking about where-ducks, not were-wolves. :p But since we're on the subject of etymology (http://www.smbc-comics.com/index.php?db=comics&id=363)... LiLcRaZyFuZzY 01-18-2006, 03:06 PM but where and were, whatever, isn't it pronounced quite similarly? David Harrison 01-18-2006, 03:08 PM No. LiLcRaZyFuZzY 01-18-2006, 03:12 PM hmm..is were pronounced like weeere? Sunny G 01-18-2006, 03:18 PM No I don't think so... Were is pronounced like Wear and Where. David Harrison 01-18-2006, 03:57 PM What the... no it's not. http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=were were (wûr) Sunny G 01-18-2006, 03:57 PM I meant the were in werewolf David Harrison 01-18-2006, 04:04 PM Oh, that were, yeah. Sunny G 01-18-2006, 04:05 PM Ya know, I think I'll dump this avatar 'cause it looks kinda mean and angry. I'll use one of GeeKeR! David Harrison 01-18-2006, 04:16 PM So rather than associate yourself with someone who is suave, "slick, and always immaculately dressed". You'd rather be associated with someone who is abnormal and has limited control over his talents? Sure, OK. Ben Rogers 01-18-2006, 04:41 PM Ptsch. Viva la llama! Sunny G 01-18-2006, 08:40 PM You'd rather be associated with someone who is abnormal and has limited control over his talents? That's just the description.... The real GeeKeR is a total goofball Sunny = Goofball Sunny G 01-18-2006, 08:43 PM Vida la llama loca. rhsunderground 01-19-2006, 01:17 AM i'm back. time for new avatar. suggestions? LiLcRaZyFuZzY 01-20-2006, 04:58 PM my little pet rabbit just told me it might be related with the cartoon 'family guy'..i'm not sure though he already lied to me, he does once in a while... ... rhsunderground 01-20-2006, 05:51 PM bingo. http://images.google.com/images?q=stewie&num=100&hl=en&hs=nCP&lr=&safe=off&client=opera&rls=en&sa=N&tab=ii&oi=imagest LiLcRaZyFuZzY 01-26-2006, 01:50 AM unsurprinsingly, i deleted my avatar juicemousezero 01-26-2006, 11:28 AM Why'd you do that? EDIT: Nevermind... after notcing the poll out there I think I may have figured it out. heh MstrBob 01-26-2006, 12:20 PM LCF, you need a macho avatar... like this one: juicemousezero 01-26-2006, 12:25 PM How about a Chuck Norris avatar? It doesn't get any manlier than that. LiLcRaZyFuZzY 01-26-2006, 12:45 PM no juicemousezero 01-26-2006, 01:03 PM Just a suggestion. MstrBob 01-26-2006, 01:54 PM You know LCF, you really need to get an avatar. If you don't get a replacement soon, I'll have to downgrade your coolness factor!  LiLcRaZyFuZzY 01-26-2006, 02:02 PM my coolness factor? rhsunderground 01-26-2006, 02:06 PM my coolness factor? it's a mod feature. if it gets below a certain level, we are alerted and a ban is considered. btw - nice av. edit: just in case you didn't catch it - i was joking. LiLcRaZyFuZzY 01-26-2006, 02:07 PM thanks David Harrison 01-26-2006, 03:03 PM Oooh, way cool avatar, I love it. Reminds me of Salad Fingers and The Nightmare Before Christmas. juicemousezero 01-26-2006, 03:14 PM Ha ha! Salad Fingers! Love him! Mr Initial Man 01-26-2006, 03:18 PM Who the heck is Salad Fingers? MstrBob 01-26-2006, 03:33 PM Come on, David Firth? Here, I link to them: http://newgrounds.com/collection/saladfingers.html I liked Salad Fingers better than Burnt Face Man. MstrBob 01-26-2006, 03:34 PM it's a mod feature. if it gets below a certain level, we are alerted and a ban is considered. btw - nice av. edit: just in case you didn't catch it - i was joking. Maybe it really is a feature? o.O? Heh, You All Will Never Know! :p juicemousezero 01-26-2006, 04:02 PM And who can forget that fun toon about the Milk Man? ......................... David Harrison 01-26-2006, 04:11 PM Well, there are user notes that super moderators and admins can add to users, they seem not to be used though. BFM man is great, Salad Fingers is just a bit weird. Ben Rogers 01-26-2006, 04:12 PM LCF, it's still feminine, just now in a more "WWE" way. It's the name. If it was LilCrazyFuzzy, lilcrazyfuzzy, or Lilcrazyfuzzy, it'd be okay. But the alternating capitalization makes you seem like a girl. However, you did make Dave make an ass of himself by saying "way cool," and I applaud you for that. Hehe. Oooh, way cool avatar, I love it. Reminds me of Salad Fingers and The Nightmare Before Christmas. LiLcRaZyFuZzY 01-26-2006, 04:14 PM i might ask the almight admins to change it to LCF -- but ben, you talk and talk..yet you don't know what's underneath the skirt of your ugly lama Ben Rogers 01-26-2006, 04:20 PM That'd be a smart move. Your other comment was just plain confusing. I'm circumcised. David Harrison 01-26-2006, 04:23 PM Ben, I'd be careful, with my magical editing powers, I can make you say anything I want. ;) LiLcRaZyFuZzY 01-26-2006, 04:27 PM that would leave obvious traces..wouldn't it? Ben Rogers 01-26-2006, 04:37 PM Then I'll just have to say things you won't need to bother editing, won't I? MstrBob 01-26-2006, 04:59 PM that would leave obvious traces..wouldn't it? We only leave evidece when we feel like it. Like His Noodliness, our powers are far reaching and we can manipulate the evidence. Sunny G 01-28-2006, 08:04 PM Just for kicks I put absolute nonsense in my profile. Ever do that? New avatar! GeeKeR! LiLcRaZyFuZzY 01-29-2006, 04:50 PM why garlic? Stop trolling! Mr Initial Man 07-07-2006, 02:19 AM Oh, fur Nexxus's sake, Ben! I'm not trolling! If I were trolling, then I'd say Tim Berners-Lee was the antichrist and CSS was of the devil. The nice thing about frames is they worked. They didn't work perfectly, but then neither does CSS. Saying I still like frames isn't trolling. It's just being really stubborn. wh666-666 07-07-2006, 07:45 AM lol dont listen mr initial. Ifs its any consilation i like tables and frames as well. The great thing about tables is although they can become very long they are extremely simple and perfect for starting out webdevelpers who dont know css or any other coding and are getting to grips with coding. Its just like keyboards and mice, they are obselete now because now you have touch screens and stylus for input but keyboards and mice although a waste of space will stay around for years on end because its simpler and what people prefer. Keep using tables, does it matter so long as its properly coded and asthetically pleasing and generally does the job (in regards to speed etc). wamboid 07-07-2006, 08:02 AM 4eva == forever It was just a weak attempt at humor LiLcRaZyFuZzY 07-07-2006, 10:17 AM lol dont listen mr initial. Pwah pwah? Quack! LiLcRaZyFuZzY 07-07-2006, 03:56 PM grrr...psht psht, no tables, no frames! tables and frames lead to the dark side of the Web, the easy side..the tempting side.. Once you've been there, it's hard to come back to the Light the tree 07-07-2006, 04:25 PM I managed to turn back to the light perfectly well thankyou, anyways, tables roxxor teh big one!!!1!!!!1!!!one!!!!11!!!!eleven!!!!!!1factoral!!! because they are semantically correct and a perfectly coded table truly is a thing of good markup. Tables for layout are a cheap hack, not that different from the CSS hacks that we're all guilty of although perhaps with more consequences. Frames serve a purpose and that purpose is the results page for a Google image search, I haven't seen another really apropriate use of frames but until some great hero of free infomation doth fell the empire of Google, frames shall forever have thier place in the web. In truth, they may still, but then they'll be appended with an X, which is awesome. LiLcRaZyFuZzY 07-07-2006, 06:32 PM of course tree, when i say "table" like that i meant "table for layout", i sure do use table for tabular data, figures and stuff like that, that's their purpose... Mr Initial Man 07-08-2006, 05:23 PM Ah, framesets. A subject near and dear to my heart. Think of them as Client-Side Includes, and you'll know why I love them. They're actually as easy to maintain as, say, SSIs, and you can use them on a lot more hosts, free, paid, or whatever. *Looks around* Well, I certainly got this old thread going again. :) rhsunderground 07-09-2006, 01:52 PM i am so glad i started this thread so many moons ago. vinnydarat 07-10-2006, 04:21 AM Let's see if my avatar shows up.....ah yes, there it is. wh666-666 07-10-2006, 08:26 AM i am so glad i started this thread so many moons ago. I've kind of fallen in love with it. I've revived it more than once. What's the use of raising a monster if you're just gonna let it die? I have seen ONE thread with more posts. On another forum, it was a game to count from 1 to 10,000. Let me tell you, it makes for very boring reading. This one wanders all over the place, but the scenery is nice. the tree 07-15-2006, 04:01 AM One of the forums I frequent has a counting game, but it's great fun because people compete to find the most obscure way possible of expressing each number. Anyways, this thread is most excellent and I only just noticed the MIM has a tiny postcount, which is odd because I've always considered him on of the regulars.
