I maintain the Intranet in our office, my boss came to me the other day with a proposal for a Intranet brochure. His idea was that any one in the office can go to this page and click on a few buttons and then hit submit and it will send each item that he choose to print these documents? This would save time in someone looking for the information needed to print a company brochure. Since we have many different types of business that we help out. Someone would be able to print out something company specific? Dose this make any sense lol.

What I am needing is a way for the HTML to point to the file and when the submit button is pushed these files pint out. I am not even sure if it is HTML that I am needing to accomplish this or not. Any information would be helpful. If I need to look elsewhere could you point me to the correct direction.

Thank you,

Brenda

Hey Brens, you still haven't gotten your answer.
Why don't you post a little more information and then maybe I (or someone else) can help you with this.

For instance:

What kind of files will be printed?
Are they HTML pages, or something like a Word doc or Excel spreadsheet?

Are you looking to have "button selection" work as a way to "build" the brochure?

Where is the information that would comprise this brochure located (within HTML pages? Another source?).

I get the feeling that this may be do-able (at least some of it), but you may need to explain it a little better.

Thanks Khaki

The files to be printed will be word documents, with a html preview of what is in the document.

There will be a button selection so the user can go down the list and pick and choose which document they want printed.

The information will be located on our in house server, this is also where the Intranet is located. Within HTML, not sure just yet if there will be any other source but I think he wants to keep it as simple as possible.

I know how to do the lay out that is needed, but my biggest problem is figuring out how to send this to the printer?

Thanks for your time

Bren

You could do it with a popunder window. Is that an option?

I see you in the forum list Brens - and I'm waiting for you to ask.

But since you haven't pulled the trigger yet, I'll do it for you (wink).

OK Pyro.
Whats a popunder window?
