I've done some research, and see how it is determined, but I'm failing to see where I can actually see what my PageRank is. The reason I ask is because I recently stumbled upon this (http://binarybonsai.com/archives/2004/05/17/et-tu-google/#comment-4225) comment on Binary Bonsai, in which someone sited his specific PageRank, and I was wondering where this comes from

I believe the Google Toolbar (http://toolbar.google.com/) displays the PageRank of a site when you are visiting it. Alternateively, check this out (http://www.searchnerd.com/pagerank/).

I have been using the google toolbar for a while now and it works out great.

A funny thing though. My website has gone down in google pagerank in the last couple of months, and I have actually linked up with several other same industry website forums through advertising banner space as well as using Yahoo's Overture and Adwords by Google.

The first year I was ranked in the top ten in google for "Ford Thunderbird Accessories". Now, I have to use google adwords to appear at all on their search engine.

I have heard that google gives you a better page rank in the first year or less, then drops you down after that?
