Someone took my backordered domain name!

:mad: Has this happened to anyone? I noticed a domain name going to expier so I backordered it. That very same day after I backordered it someone else registered the same name with the word "the" in front of it.(someone watching?) after about three days in "pending delete" my backorder was droped, someone else was able to capture the name, and then the backorder put back on. I wrote several e-mails and was told this is how it works and there is nothing I can do about it but contact the person who registered the name and see if they will sell it to me. Does this happen all the time? Thanks for any responces.

That sounds pretty confusing. Who did you place the back order through?

Just because somebody else grabbed your domain with 'the' in front of it doens't mean that your back order should have been scrapped.

might help you find a domain just as good as the original.

My story is indeed true, however, I don't want sued so I'll leave it at that can happen to a person, thank you for your reply.:cool:
