Hello all.

Does anyone got any links to where I can download Netscape 4.7 and 6.2, IE 5.0 and 5.5 and Opera 5.0?

I have tried from these companies websites but to no avail. From what I have read these are the older browser versions that I should be checking my websites in.....

OR

.....do I really have to be checking my sites in these browsers???

I currently check my websites in IE 6.0, Netscape 7.1, Mozilla 1.4 and Opera 7.23, so that everything looks how I want it. I check that everything is valid with the W3C validator to XHTML 1.0 Transitional standard and that my CSS is valid with the W3C Jigsaw thing at (I think) CSS 2 standard. So my thinking is this (and remember I am relatively new to web developing): if everything is passing at the W3C standard it should look OK in these older browsers too. Too naive???

Just need a bit of advice on the subject. And if I should check in these other browsers the links would be great.

Cheers,
R
P.S. Does anyone know what has happened to W3C CSS validator?

Can't get on the site. Has it moved?
